*Amaya was imported in utero in 1970 by Mike Nichols and produced 14 foals beginning in 1976.  Her foals became part of breeding herds of Nichols-Delongpre Arabians, Town & Country Farms, Lasma and Michigan State.  We purchased her from Michigan State University in 1994 with the hope of having her produce a foal by *Penitent.  She failed to conceive after multiple breeding attempts and was retired to enjoy the remainder of her days with us.  She was kept busy raising the newly weaned foals and seemed pleased with her responsibility.  We were honored to have her be a member of our herd and miss her very much.
